I just watched it myself and loved every minute.
Over the past year they have carved themselves a crater sized hole within the street wear market place. Consistently providing us with range after range of the threads we all love to wear. There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning to crack open a fresh Crooks tee! All thanks to the Crooks & Castle team.

COMEDIAN Lenny Henry and star of BBC TV show Hustle Adrian Lester visited a school to help get pupils interested in Shakespeare.
The famous pair were at The Norwood School in Crown Dale, Norwood, on Friday to lead a special class about the Bard’s life and works.
Jessie Nicholas, assistant head at the school, said: “The visit was brilliant. The pupils were really inspired and had great fun.
“They knew Lenny Henry, inset, more from his hotel adverts and also knew Adrian from TV.
“But they weren’t fazed at all.
“During the session they did a lot of voice work, talked about the language, spoke about stage presence and understanding the text.
“The students already knew quite a lot about Shakespeare which I think really impressed and delighted Lenny and Adrian.”
About 20 Year 8 and 9 pupils took part in the workshop which will be included an ITV show, to be aired later in the year, documenting how Lenny grew to love Shakespeare.
The funny man is performing in Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors until April at The National Theatre on the South Bank.
The school has a specialism in visual and performing arts and one of its governors, Mark Londesborough, works at The National Theatre which is how the connection with the actors was made.

Jay-Z Decoded
Recently Jay-Z published his biography, Decoded. I’ve had it sitting around for a while, and only just really started reading it. I’ve gotta say its one of the few books that I’ve ever started and will definitely finish – I hate to read.
What sets this book apart from others is the structure of it, as the title ‘decoded’ suggests – it gives you an insight into the world of Jay-Z but, far more interestingly – his lyrics, there is page upon page of annotated lyrics explaining each little reference. For example, his lyric ‘I’m like Che Guevara with bling on’ comes from him wearing a Che Tee whilst in the studio doing an interview with someone – who noticed that he paired it with Biggie Small’s Jesus piece, and asked him if it ‘felt funny’ – he said it bridged the gap between the hustler and the superstar.
The book is less like a book and more like a scrap book for Jay’s history, its interesting and not too ‘text heavy’

The growing modern / new school Japanese culture loves everything about western street culture, such as hip hop. They seem to drench themselves in our hip hop and street history, while still remaining true to themselves and mixing and remixing our style and our swagger to form a new youthful bond of street couture in fashion, music, design and just plain street-style bravado. This balancing act is what he admired and enticed him to begin something new, and now he has produced the first ideas for IMPERIAL JUNKIE.
Tea-stain dyed, rope tying, crashing and smashing together the American old school hip hop and street aesthetic with the new school Japanese “determined to the bone” culture is what emerged from Ruben’s creative love for American design and Japanese culture. “The video covers a bit of the gig (at 3:35 into the video), but mostly includes some eye popping street magic that has Tinie praising Dynamo as ‘the best magician in the world’. In the video, Dynamo performs tricks like:
-Having Tinie pull a metal chain through his neck (not for the faint-hearted, that one!) – 1:25
-Making a Panasonic TA1 camera appear inside a beer bottle – 2:10
-Removing Tinie’s sunglasses on his album cover through the CD’s hard plastic – 4:10
Dynamo is shooting these types of clips over the next few weeks with Panasonic and has already featured Sean Paul, the Sugababes, Keith Lemon, Rufus Hound and Dan Gold.
