Triple FAT Goose is a brand that is immediately recognizable to kids of the 80’s and early 90’s. Introduced to the market in 1987, the jackets were known for their quality, extra loft and inner lining pattern. The FAT stood for “For Arctic Temperatures” in a description built on the garments ability to protect wearers from harsh winters.

This is where he started to “fiend” for all things Japanese. He’d stay a few days or even a couple of week at a time. He wasn’t always working; he was soaking up the Japanese culture. The best things just happen naturally!
The Creative Director says “It’s another world over there, but it’s also a mirror of our world.” The Japanese seem to love everything American, yet they still value everything that is traditional, old school Japanese. The growing modern / new school Japanese culture loves everything about western street culture, such as hip hop. They seem to drench themselves in our hip hop and street history, while still remaining true to themselves and mixing and remixing our style and our swagger to form a new youthful bond of street couture in fashion, music, design and just plain street-style bravado. This balancing act is what he admired and enticed him to begin something new, and now he has produced the first ideas for IMPERIAL JUNKIE.
Tea-stain dyed, rope tying, crashing and smashing together the American old school hip hop and street aesthetic with the new school Japanese “determined to the bone” culture is what emerged from Ruben’s creative love for American design and Japanese culture. He respects their love of street wear and how our worlds meet at this cultural intersection. Now, the distance has been closed from miles to styles. Old school imperial Japan and the street corner American hustle.
Live Mechanics spawned from the fusion of street and music, and energized by the creative spirit, a new breed of style is born. Shaking up reality through art, music and an appreciation of life’s challenges, Live Mechanics, created by Osa Odiase has been a force in the world of street couture since 2000; offering a new conscious line, bound for revolutionary achievement.
