On this particular day Homeboy has to deal with a range of characters. These include, bible bashers, the local wack rapper, his weed man, the feds, the local thug/bully, his girlfriends and his friend blacker, who robs a ladies handbag and decides to hide out at Homeboy’s house. The film is a humourus observation into everyday inner city life. It takes everyday events and characters that most of us are familiar with and puts a comedy spin on it. Homeboy is set in two parts. Part one gives the audience an introduction to the characters, the setting and starts the mishaps and events that will lead and continue into part two..

With new characters and situations, will Homeboy ever get any peace to make his beats?

The British born/ NYC raised Hustler, Rapper, Poet, Actor, Novelist and Community Activist began his music career literally on the streets of South London after 18 years as a Tri-state resident, the last three of which were spent in the custody of NY’s County, City, State and Federal Institutions. His departure from the US transplanted him from The Bronx, NY housing projects to the council estates of Brixton, UK. A rich translation of not only accents, but of culture, mind state and inner city customs… An Immigrant’s Tale.
Whoisparadise’s career highlights include a MOBO Nomination, Winner of Best UK Hip-Hop Act TWICE with the critically acclaimed 57th Dynasty albums “Spoken Word” and “Boro 6 Vol.2″, 1st indie produced mainstream UK Hiphop Video, Love of Hiphop; Guy Ritchie’s Mean Machine OST, C.E.O of Edutainment venture TGSMP featuring KRS-One & Skinnyman, the lead part in Glyndebourne’s critically acclaimed Hip-h’opera, School 4 Lovers; VH1′s Music First Special; winner 2010-11 Our Heroes Community Campaigner Award, to present – Charity Director, Young People Matter; workshop facilitator of One Spirit at HMP Feltham Young Offenders Institute, all the whilst creatively advising a new wave of talented UK artists including Amplify Dot, Coldsteps and video vixen Noni Zondi.
WHOISPARADISE [formerly Paradise The Prolific] is an Ambassador for the Youts. The Int’l Multipreneur uses his own troubled past as the prequel for balancing art with purpose. A past which places him in a unique position of earned street credibility when championing a lesser kudos’ sociopolitical subject matter. After exile from the USA, his prison poetry was set to the musical landscapes crafted by Brixton producer, Charlie “Baptist” Parker. Since his return from hiatus, Whoisparadise has featured on the MOBO nominated Afro-beats hit ‘We Are Africans (Remix)’ and most recently, ‘United We Stand’ featuring Magnum and video vixen Noni Zondi.

Nas, Jannelle Monae, Big K.R.I.T., Ice Cube, Tech N9ne, Marilyn Manson & Lil’ B are amongst his other ..interviewees.
PXLSNR (aka dj INSITE) and Beatnick Dee caught up with rapper Co$$ whilst in LA. He talks about his upcoming Tres Records (Blu/Shawn Jackson/People Under The Stairs) release “Before I Awoke” and a bit about himself as an artist.
part 2 coming soon…
Tyler, 19, and his LA-based crew are causing quite a stir to say the least. I don’t respect that they got famous from dissing 2dopeboyz but i do like how they are original and creative.. from being on the Jimmy Fallon show and getting love from Mos Def to Steve Rifkind being very public about wanting to sign them, they’re obviously on the right path.. they could be viewed as hipster, they could be viewed as having a younger following but lets be real these guys have got some pretty crazy *hit and they’ve blown up very, very fast. be sure to check out some of their other, weird videos on the Youtube..
20 million views and counting; need i say much? great video, especially the intro.. the track is produced by UK’s Alex Da Kid!

Here are the visuals for his track off ‘Jack of None‘ (click to listen/buy), which paint a brilliantly british picture as Byron reps for his town. Some good shots (even if they do look dreary!) and nicely edited – this couldn’t be more stereotypically UK! would like to see more clean-cut material like this.. Speaking of which Byron’s working on something new..watch this space.

iTunes “Between Heaven and Hell” Review
Back in the late ’90s New York indie-rap heyday, the Arsonists were one of the most exciting and revered acts around, city-raised B-boys known for neck-breaking beats, razor-sharp lyricism, and explosive live shows. Q-Unique was one of their standout members, and though the group has been disbanded for many years, he continues to release quality music on his own. His second solo joint following 2004′s Vengeance Is Mine, Between Heaven and Hell finds him keeping it real to the utmost, refusing to concede to current trends by changing up his dense wordplay or ear for relentlessly rugged production. His storytelling verses tackle everything from pre-Giuliani NYC (“Crack Era”) to small-time robbery gone bad (“Mr. Lopez”), while getting a hand from co-conspirators such as Ill Bill, Slaine, plus Arsonists homies D Stroy, Freestyle and Jise. This is music for people who still like their hip-hop grimy, and preferred Times Square with more peep shows and less Applebee’s.
Money MusicK due for release early 2011.
“The album came about because I was tired of hearing the same old songs by new faces and the formula was starting to bore me. So I took my beat-making skills and put them with some strong lyrical content that is both positive and poignant. Catchy hooks and choruses will give everyone something to sing along to while feeling some uplifting vibes.” - Fdot1

Tinie Tempah backstage with Dynamo at Manchester Academy!
“The video covers a bit of the gig (at 3:35 into the video), but mostly includes some eye popping street magic that has Tinie praising Dynamo as ‘the best magician in the world’. In the video, Dynamo performs tricks like:
-Having Tinie pull a metal chain through his neck (not for the faint-hearted, that one!) – 1:25
-Making a Panasonic TA1 camera appear inside a beer bottle – 2:10
-Removing Tinie’s sunglasses on his album cover through the CD’s hard plastic – 4:10
Dynamo is shooting these types of clips over the next few weeks with Panasonic and has already featured Sean Paul, the Sugababes, Keith Lemon, Rufus Hound and Dan Gold. I’ve put a little bit more info about the show below if you’re interested? This week’s episode coming out on Wednesday features rapper, Example at the unlikely celeb spot of Milkshake City in North Finchley. I’m happy to send that on as well when it goes live.”
- thanks to Melanie for sending this over.
