Returning from his ground breaking trip to New York, where he filmed part of the video for his
forthcoming collaboration track with Hip Hop legend Man Parrish, Fdot1 has gone back into
the studio and back to basics with this one.
After being co-signed by childhood heros Kool Herc, Grandmaster Caz and Crazy Legs (Rock Steady Crew) in New York Fdot1 has taken Hip Hop full circle and back to its real roots. “Pardon Me..” is the result of months of total immersion in 80s and 90s hip hop classics at Lil’ Rock Studios, and comes with a newly revived passion to bring back the art of lyricism, complex rhyme patterns and just downright dutty beats.
“I just got tired of all the bullshit that’s being pushed out and labelled Hip Hop, whether it be here in the UK or Stateside. Hip Hop ain’t Nicki Minaj or Drake, that’s Hip POP. I’m all about taking it back and honouring the greats that inspired me in MY art. Being in New York, the birthplace of Hip Hop, and meeting real legends like Caz, Herc, Rakim, Legs and Premo made me sit up and say naaah Flo you gotta do something to educate the people about what REAL hip hop is all about.. and bring it with some new flava. Hip Hop is not dead, it’s just been in a coma for a New York minute, but I’m here to wake y’all the fuck up!” Fdot1
And what about the video. well, in true Fdot1 style, it’s not your regular no-budget hood video.. oh no. No council estate, no crew, no hired Maybachs or Bentleys, it’s strictly Man vs Food. Like he says “Hip Hop lives in everything I do”.
“The Hip Hop revival starts right here and now. Are you with me?” Fdot1
Catch Fdot1 performing “Pardon Me” live on 14th September in London with UK Hip Hop legend Naba Napalm… and don’t forget to keep your eyes and ears open for that Man Parrish collaboration joint coming soon to big screen near you.

Fdot1 – Eart’Quake (Da Refix)
Fdot1 has been locked in the lab since his appearance at The O2 this summer working on some hip hop bangers for 2012.. He has briefly emerged, squinting at the light, to share this tirade with y’all.
Fdot1 left his soft, soulful side at the studio door, stepped in the booth and got MAD!
Mad at the way the UK urban music scene treats real talent, he goes IN on Labrinth’s Earthquake beat. The video was a no budget production, filmed in a car park by his manager and edited by Fdot1 himself.
No make-up, no fancy animations, no designer wardrobe and no BULL, just raw flows more intricate than anything that’s getting major airplay in the UK right now.
This production was brought to you by the letters F and U.
I will not fall ‘cos I stand for suttin’

*** Money MusicK the album ***
This is what Fdot1 had to say about why he made “Money MusicK”
“..this album came about out of frustration with the current state of the industry. Being in the studio and being given so many demos that all sounded the same, no depth, whether it be a singer or a rapper, in my opinion, it was the same song just by a different person. The lyrical content either glorified violence, cash, cars and jewellery or sang about broken hearts like there is nothing else to talk about. I just stopped listening to music. Instead of complaining about it I decided to challenge myself creatively to show there are still artists out there who are creative and not just a machine marching to a major label’s drum. Money MusicK is an album full of good music and good vibes proving that you can make money without selling your soul..”
Special edition copies of the “Money MusicK” album will be available on the night.. a future collectors item!

See, it’s not all hip hop, that’s not all Fdot1 is about, the album has something for everyone from R&B to Soul to Grime but the foundation is always his roots in Hip Hop.
***The Venue***
For those of you not familiar with the Queen of Hoxton, this is an amazing venue with roof top BBQ, lounge area and a cocktail selection that would have Tom Cruise heading for the job centre. The Queen of Hoxton have just installed a brand new Funktion One sound system to rattle your rib cage and trust me, with Fdot1′s bass heavy hip hop sound it will not be a night for the feint-hearted. Apply an extra layer of PoliGrip to your false teeth is alls we are gonna say.. lol!
*** What you waitin’ for? ***
So, skip out of work early on Wednesday and join us for some BBQ and forget about work on Thursday.. It’s gonna be a night to remember.. don’t say I didn’t warn ya!!
“Just call me John Terry, ‘cos I will f*ck your bitch if she let me”

Now based in London, Fdot1’s style is influenced both musically and lyrically by his global upbringing. Fdot1’s style is truly unique.
Since returning to the UK Fdot1 has been the catalyst behind a number of the UK and Jamaica’s most prominent artists. Fdot1 has produced tracks for Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Sizzla, Fredi Kruga, Asher D (So Solid), Malarchi, Giggs and produced over 40 tracks for Durrty Goodz.

Fdot1- Wears Darkncold, Live Mechanics and Triple Fat Goose!
FDOT1 Photo Shoot by Salvador Dewald and FM Inc – Fdot1 (Floriginul) Wears:
Pic 1 = Darkncold Beanie and Triple Fat Goose jacket.
Pic 2 , Pic 3, Pic 4= Live Mechanics Makeway Woven shirt and Imperial Junkie New Denim Jeans.
Pic 5 = Triple Fat Goose jacket.
Dark n Cold Exclusive british urban clothing at its best. The Dark n Cold brand is designed to reflect the look and feel of life on the streets of London today.
Triple FAT Goose is a brand that is immediately recognizable to kids of the 80’s and early 90’s. Introduced to the market in 1987, the jackets were known for their quality, extra loft and inner lining pattern. The FAT stood for “For Arctic Temperatures” in a description built on the garments ability to protect wearers from harsh winters.
Now after a long break – Triple Fat Goose is back with a vengeance.
Newest of brands,” IMPERIAL JUNKIE…. After the Creative Director was given the opportunity to travel extensively to Asia, but starting to fall in love with all things Japanese about 6 years ago when he began traveling regularly to Japan. This is where he started to “fiend” for all things Japanese. He’d stay a few days or even a couple of week at a time. He wasn’t always working; he was soaking up the Japanese culture. The best things just happen naturally!
The Creative Director says “It’s another world over there, but it’s also a mirror of our world.” The Japanese seem to love everything American, yet they still value everything that is traditional, old school Japanese. The growing modern / new school Japanese culture loves everything about western street culture, such as hip hop. They seem to drench themselves in our hip hop and street history, while still remaining true to themselves and mixing and remixing our style and our swagger to form a new youthful bond of street couture in fashion, music, design and just plain street-style bravado. This balancing act is what he admired and enticed him to begin something new, and now he has produced the first ideas for IMPERIAL JUNKIE.
Tea-stain dyed, rope tying, crashing and smashing together the American old school hip hop and street aesthetic with the new school Japanese “determined to the bone” culture is what emerged from Ruben’s creative love for American design and Japanese culture. He respects their love of street wear and how our worlds meet at this cultural intersection. Now, the distance has been closed from miles to styles. Old school imperial Japan and the street corner American hustle.
Live Mechanics spawned from the fusion of street and music, and energized by the creative spirit, a new breed of style is born. Shaking up reality through art, music and an appreciation of life’s challenges, Live Mechanics, created by Osa Odiase has been a force in the world of street couture since 2000; offering a new conscious line, bound for revolutionary achievement. Created to be an answer to the fast changing climate in today’s world of street wear. Live Mechanics started as most great sportswear companies do by printing tees and sweatshirts and building a strong grassroots following in its California home base through our familiarity with our customer base and our marketing expertise. Since this time we have taken our flare for graphics and moved to a full scale line.

“The album came about because I was tired of hearing the same old songs by new faces and the formula was starting to bore me. So I took my beat-making skills and put them with some strong lyrical content that is both positive and poignant. Catchy hooks and choruses will give everyone something to sing along to while feeling some uplifting vibes.” - Fdot1
