DJ Muggs has a CV that boasts productions not only for the incredible seven album he produced with Cypress Hill to which he is a founder member, but such time encapsulating classics as House of Pain’s “Jump Around”, Ice Cube’s “Check Yo Self” and his collective productions have chalked up no less than 20 million units! Not only that, he has released three albums to critical acclaim as Soul Assassins, which featured Dr Dre, B-Real, LA The Darkman, Mobb Deep, RZA, GZA, Goodie Mob, KRS One, Wyclef Jean, Prodigy, The Alchemist and many more artists across the LPs. Solo work, further collaborations such as the album Grandmasters with Wu Tang Klan’s GZA, just highlight what an important player DJ Muggs has been in the development of Hip Hop from the late 80′s, right through until today.
Currently on the road touring the Bass In Your Face events across the globe, to promote his new album of the same name, DJ Muggs takes on Brixton as the sole UK date, and Jamm are honoured to host this event.
Muggs is known for his dusty sound, eerie beats, soul-driven beats, rock samples, and hard hitting drums and bass, so will lead the charge alongside a line up that doesn’t rest with the headline, but also offers the cream of the UK hip hop and bass scene.
These UK artists playing on this night include Choice FMs DJ 279, first lady of hip hop Sarah Love, dubstep pioneer and Rinse FM’s DJ Chef, DJ, producer and founder of dubstep label Ghost Recordings El-B, founder of Sumting New and the BassFace label Cotti, Kiss FM’s MC Crazy D plus many more who you can see below.
Expect the foundations to shake, the roof to come off and any other idiom that I can muster to describe what an incredible night this is going to be.

Tyler, 19, and his LA-based crew are causing quite a stir to say the least. I don’t respect that they got famous from dissing 2dopeboyz but i do like how they are original and creative.. from being on the Jimmy Fallon show and getting love from Mos Def to Steve Rifkind being very public about wanting to sign them, they’re obviously on the right path.. they could be viewed as hipster, they could be viewed as having a younger following but lets be real these guys have got some pretty crazy *hit and they’ve blown up very, very fast. be sure to check out some of their other, weird videos on the Youtube..

Born in Barbados and raised in NY, Toronto, Manchester (UK) and Harare (Zimbabwe) Fdot1 (or Flo as he is known to most) brings a melting pot of international experiences to his music.
Now based in London, Fdot1’s style is influenced both musically and lyrically by his global upbringing. You will hear a mix of American, West Indian and UK accents in his flows and a fusion of Jamaican bashment, Bajan calypso and Zimbabwean rhumba on top of a foundation which is firmly rooted in Hip Hop. Fdot1’s style is truly unique.
Since returning to the UK Fdot1 has been the catalyst behind a number of the UK and Jamaica’s most prominent artists. Fdot1 has produced tracks for Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Sizzla, Fredi Kruga, Asher D (So Solid), Malarchi, Giggs and produced over 40 tracks for Durrty Goodz.
Fdot1 now comes out of the studio and into the spotlight with the release of his EP “So Grimey”. Back in the late ’90s New York indie-rap heyday, the Arsonists were one of the most exciting and revered acts around, city-raised B-boys known for neck-breaking beats, razor-sharp lyricism, and explosive live shows. Q-Unique was one of their standout members, and though the group has been disbanded for many years, he continues to release quality music on his own. His second solo joint following 2004′s Vengeance Is Mine, Between Heaven and Hell finds him keeping it real to the utmost, refusing to concede to current trends by changing up his dense wordplay or ear for relentlessly rugged production. His storytelling verses tackle everything from pre-Giuliani NYC (“Crack Era”) to small-time robbery gone bad (“Mr. Lopez”), while getting a hand from co-conspirators such as Ill Bill, Slaine, plus Arsonists homies D Stroy, Freestyle and Jise. This is music for people who still like their hip-hop grimy, and preferred Times Square with more peep shows and less Applebee’s.
